Our Past
The trailer was designed to be pulled or pushed by a car with its swivel wheel spinning around to adapt to whatever the situation. The demand was overwhelming and soon the popular trailer (the first of its kind in the nation) was being shipped throughout the U.S. and Canada. As imitation is the highest form of flattery, Sears and Wards soon began to complement 'Pete Hanes' invention by introducing models of their own. This, coupled with trunk space offered in new car models, shifted Economy's focus to the needs of farmers and ranchers.
That ingenious trailer was just the beginning of a long line of products Economy has launched to fill a particular need. |
